Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, our friendly guide will be there to welcome you and drive you to your hotel.

Day 3

Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park
Today you will drive to Kibale National Park with an enroute lunch. In the afternoon you will arrive at your accommodation.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Tracking, Local Lunch, & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Today you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. With over 1,450 individuals protected within the park, Kibale forest is home to the largest number of the endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, as well as the threatened red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The forest has one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the black and white colobus, blue monkey and grey-cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. In the afternoon after tracking, you will have a local lunch at Tinka’s homestead then after proceed for a guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi. After the fascinating walk you have the choice of relaxing in the accommodation or community walk in a village nearby.

Day 5

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. Named after the late Queen of England, this is Uganda’s most renowned and scenic game reserve. It spans from the craterdotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, encompassing diverse habitats ranging from savannah and wetlands to lowland forests. Later in the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the park and visit Lake Katwe to see traditional methods of mining salt.

Day 6

Game drive & Boat ride on the Kazinga Channel
Have an early morning game drive. There are over 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, and Red tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. In the afternoon, you shall have a scheduled boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park, from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and Crater Lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward

Day 7

Morning Game Drive & Drive to Bwindi Forest National Park
Have an Early Morning Game Drive. There are over 100 mammal species including Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, leopards, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and Olive Baboons. Then you will drive to Bwindi Forest National Park and head to your lodge for the overnight, as you need to be well rested for your Gorilla trek tomorrow.

Day 8

Gorilla Trekking & Visit ‘Ride 4 A Woman Initiatives’
This morning, you will get up early. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The adventure may span from 2 to 6 hours, but the rewards are truly remarkable. Your journey will be guided by an experienced ranger who will share fascinating insights about the flora, fauna and the captivating lifestyle of these incredible gorillas. After the gorilla trekking you will visit Ride 4 a Woman Initiatives.

Day 9

Return to Entebbe Airport
After breakfast, you will drive to Kihihi Airstrip and fly back to Entebbe enjoying the beautiful aerial view of SouthWestern Uganda, the hills and thick vegetation as well as the farming practiced by the locals. Upon reaching Entebbe, you will connect to your return flight home.

Experience & Activities

Spanning 795 km², it offers diverse landscapes from tropical forests to open savannah. It also connects with Queen Elizabeth National Park, creating a vital wildlife corridor.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

At only 321 km2 (124 mi2), Bwindi Impenetrable National Park covers a small area but packs a big punch in terms of wildlife conservation, most famously protecting an estimated 400 mountain gorillas.
