Day 1

Arrive in Uganda and transfer to your boutique hotel set in a quiet residential area of Entebbe. After your journey, settle in and unwind in a calm, tropical setting before the safari begins.
Day 2
Kyambura Gorge Lodge
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Fly west to Kasese and meet your private guide before continuing through the landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, visit the Rwenzori Sculpture Foundation, where contemporary works reflect Uganda’s cultural heritage. Arrive at Kyambura Gorge Lodge, perched above the savannah with sweeping views toward the Rwenzori Mountains.

Set out on morning game drives across the Kasenyi Plains, known for lions, elephant, buffalo, and occasional leopard sightings. In the afternoon, explore the Kyambura community and conservation projects, from wetland restoration to local coffee initiatives, offering a deeper connection to the region beyond wildlife.

Kyambura Gorge & Kazinga Channel
Descend into the lush Kyambura Gorge to track the resident chimpanzees in this striking forest hidden within the savannah. Later, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where large concentrations of hippos, elephants, and birdlife gather along the water’s edge, creating one of the richest wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Travel south through the Ishasha sector, home to the region’s tree-climbing lions, before ascending into the forested highlands of Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge on the edge of the rainforest, where the atmosphere shifts to something quieter and more intimate. In the evening, gain insight into gorilla conservation during a fireside talk with Gorilla Doctors.

Today is dedicated to gorilla trekking. Move through dense forest and steep terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family, an experience that is both physically engaging and deeply moving. After returning to the lodge, unwind and reflect on the encounter, often considered one of Africa’s most powerful wildlife experiences.

Spend the day at your own pace with the option of a second gorilla trek or a selection of guided experiences, including rainforest walks, birding along the Munyanga River, or visits to local community and conservation initiatives connected to gorilla protection.
