Day 1 – 5
Ila Safari Lodge
Kafue National Park, Zambia
Arrive in Lusaka and connect by scheduled light aircraft to Chunga Airstrip in Kafue National Park. Transfer to Ila Safari Lodge, an eco-luxury camp set along the Kafue River, where you will stay for four nights in tented suites with private decks overlooking the water.
During your stay, explore one of Africa’s largest and most untouched national parks. Activities include game drives in electric safari vehicles, river cruises, fishing, and guided walking safaris. Kafue is known for its diverse ecosystems and wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and prolific birdlife.
Day 2
Transfer
Kafue National Park to Busanga Plains
Transfer by light aircraft from Chunga Airstrip to the Busanga Plains, a remote and seasonal floodplain region in northern Kafue known for its rich wildlife concentrations.
Day 5 – 9
Chisa Busanga Camp
Busanga Plains, Kafue National Park
Stay four nights at Chisa Busanga Camp, set in the heart of the Busanga Plains. The camp is known for its elevated “bird’s nest” suites, offering wide views across the open floodplains.
This region is defined by its seasonal wetlands, attracting large herds of buffalo, elephants, and antelope, along with predators such as lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs. Activities include game drives and guided walking safaris. Time between activities can be spent relaxing at camp, taking in the landscape and wildlife from your elevated suite.
Day 4
Transfer
Busanga Plains to South Luangwa National Park
Fly by light aircraft to Mfuwe in South Luangwa National Park, one of Zambia’s premier wildlife regions. Transfer to your camp along the Luangwa River.
Day 9 – 13
Shawa Luangwa Camp
South Luangwa National Park, Zambia
Spend four nights at Shawa Luangwa Camp, located on the banks of the Luangwa River. Accommodation is in spacious tented suites with private verandas overlooking the river.
South Luangwa is known as the birthplace of the walking safari and offers exceptional wildlife viewing. Activities include guided walking safaris, game drives, and seasonal boat trips. The park is known for its strong populations of leopards, elephants, wild dogs, giraffe, and hippos, along with abundant birdlife.
Day 4
Transfer
South Luangwa to Lusaka
Transfer to Mfuwe Airport for your scheduled flight to Lusaka. Upon arrival, assistance will be provided for your onward international connection.
